My name is Ralph. I've had my 1970 AAR Cuda since 1975. It's originally from Massachusetts and I brought it to NYC where it was my daily drive until 1981. In the years that I had the car, many "go fast" parts went into it. Through the mufflers and on street tires I got the car into the 13's. Over the 34 years, when I got bored and tired of the car I would change the color. It's been eight different colors, and now that I'm in FL, it's going to get the ninth color, white. In 2001, in NYC, I found and rescued a 1970 Barracuda convertible from the crusher. It had a 318, column shift, 904, 8 1/4 with air conditioning. After five years of weekends in a two car garage and with lots of help from my friends (The Bronx Mopars), the car now has a Mopar AAR hood and rear spoiler, shaved door handles, bumper bolts, and radio antenna. The drive train consists of a worked 360 with six pack, TCI tranny with shift kit, sure grip 8 3/4 with 3:23, front disc brakes front and rear sway bars frame connectors and of course, A/C. In the rust department, the floors, both rear quarters, tail light panel and inside wheel wells were replaced. Now I have my play toy, the AAR, and my daily drive, the "AAR" Convertible. |
